FIND OPPORTUNITY IN ADVERSITY
“The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word ‘crisis.’ One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger—but recognize the opportunity.”
—John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States.
We all encounter difficulties in life. Often these difficulties create or reveal opportunities. It may simply be the opportunity to learn from a mistake. It may be much more.
Look for the unique opportunities that adversity often creates.
Think of the gang member turned rapper, author, or consultant; the alcoholic turned counselor or motivational speaker; the scientist or entrepreneur whose early failures reveal the path to success; the entrepreneur whose failure in one area leads to success in another.
Always look for opportunities to grow and prosper in adversity. Learn to see problems as opportunities. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
