LIFELONG RELATIONSHIPS

Your friends and your family
are your support system – treasure them.

You need to develop, nurture and maintain your relationships. You do that by investing time and energy in those relationships.Develop your support system by networking with people from all walks of life—people from different countries, people with different educational backgrounds and experiences, people whose age, race, religion and/or sexual orientation may be different from your own.

Every positive relationship adds value to your life. Some may offer skills that you don’t have or experience that you have yet to acquire.Others may offer insights and perspectives that you haven’t considered. Still others may lead to new introductions that allow you to further expand your support system or achieve your objectives.

Nurture your relationships by cultivating a genuine interest in other people. Try to make meaningful lifelong connections.Maintain your relationships by being reciprocal and by adding value to those relationships.

We are born with very few people in our lives—our parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends. Most of the other relationships in our lives we must create, nurture and develop. All the relationships that we want to flourish and maintain require an investment of our time and attention.
